Built for ported heads and real track work, the GSC R2 profile drives the Coyote hard to 8,100 rpm with a usable band from 5,800–8,500 rpm. Events are modeled for ported Gen 4 Mustang Coyote heads flow behavior and correct rocker geometry for high-flow combinations, then cut from our U.S.-made forged billet blanks and finished with BLACK ISE for reduced friction and long life. Runs on pump gas, race fuel, or ethanol blends (E85/E90). Direct Injection note: the high-pressure fuel pump (DI/HPFP) lobe is maintained to OEM specification—stroke and timing are retained for proper pump operation.

Highlights
-
Profile intent: Ported head race profile; optimized for higher-flow combos and serious track use
-
Fuel: Pump gas, race fuel, E85/E90
-
Peak power: ~8,100 rpm · Powerband: 5,800–8,500 rpm
-
Valve springs: Upgrade required (use GSC-matched springs; Ti retainers recommended)
-
NA Setup for best performance use with aftermarket intake manifold such as Cobra Jet
-
VCT: Tuner-managed phasing window recommended for best area under the curve
-
DI fuel pump lobe: Maintains OEM lobe data for correct HPFP stroke/timing
-
Manufacturing: MADE IN THE USA; forged from proprietary U.S.-sourced bearing-grade steel, BLACK ISE surface treatment, CNC to tighter-than-OEM tolerances
-
Fitment: 2024–2026 Mustang GT 5.0L & Dark Horse
Tuning & Install Notes
-
Clearance: Always verify piston-to-valve clearance with your exact heads/pistons/gasket stack. With OEM pistons and deck heights, the full phaser range is typically usable without clearance issues.
- Use upgraded valve springs (and Ti retainers) set to the tuner’s rev limit; check installed height and coil bind.
- See install sheet for torque sequence and procedures; prime oiling and fuel (HPFP follower inspection) on reassembly.
