Friction counts have been increased in K2, K3, and B1 clutch packs to improve transmission torque capacity. To handle this increased torque capacity, the Torquemaster utilizes a custom billet nitride K2 hub and a billet K2 apply piston, which resists excessive spline wear found on the factory K2 hub. A billet K3 hub and piston are used in the K3 pack for increased durability, alongside the 40% increase in clutches. The billet K3 drum also resists ring grooving far better than the factory drum. Frictions used in aftermarket rebuilds commonly compromise shift quality
